Bokchoy is a natural juice brand rooted in the philosophy of modern botany. Shifting away from the saturated clichés of beverage branding, the visual identity focuses on the micro-narrative of nature: the cellular structure and organic elements.

Named after Shanghai Qing, the custom logotype incorporates the structural features of cruciferous plants; the interlocking "B" monogram reflects rotational symmetry of nature, serving as both the primary mark and a versatile element for visual extensions.

Logotype: Typographic Metrics & Grid
Infusing full-volumed curves into selected strokes.
Injecting elasticity and organic botanical form.
The custom logotype explores the formal contrast between curved leaves and rigid stems, mirroring the continuous, rounded silhouettes of fresh produce.

Built upon a sans-serif skeleton, the typeface utilizes mono stroke weights to eliminate contrast, creating clean and fluid lines. Furthermore, the curvatures create a subtle sense of viscosity, designed to evoke the imagery of moisture-rich plant cells.

Logotype Variation & Collateral

Deconstructing the logotype allows for new typographic layers and combinations, visualizing the collision and mixture of ingredients. Optimized for square compositions, this alternative format functions both as a compact mark and a versatile pattern.

Meanwhile, a series of botanical illustrations were developed to enrich the overall visual identity. Designed to pair seamlessly with the logo, these elements extend across posters, editorial layouts, and various touchpoints.
